46th Annual Treasure Trails

February 10-12, 2012

It might be chillier than normal but we're still going to hold our event; come rain or shine.

It's that time of the new year for the 46th annual Treasure Trails off road treasure hunt! We'll give you 405 clues to find the elusive treasures and it's always a weekend of fun for the whole family. When you get your clues, you'll choose a trail, each will have 45 clues to hidden treasures. Some will be walking trails and others will be riding trails. It's NOT A RACE... go slow to find hidden treasures and enjoy the beauty of our desert. Red Earth will have free dry camping space available. Just check in at the Red Earth Welcome Center. Be sure to read the preregistration flyer from Red Earth to learn of offers they are making just for you.

There will only be 625 registrations available for the 46th 2012 Treasure Trails, so don't be left without a clue! Register today and all entries received on or before February 3, 2012 will be entered into the $100.00 preregistration drawing to be held on Saturday the 11th at the 8 AM safety/orientation meeting. Your registration will be ready for you at the Hut by 4 PM on Friday the 10th. If you are unable to attend the event for any reason, your registration fee will be promptly refunded after the event. Please do not mail your entry after February 3, 2012 or it may not reach us in time to have it ready for you when you arrive.

The entry fee is $40.00. Be sure to list all kids 18 or under on your entry form so that they will be included in the 2 drawings for a free registration. This drawing will also be held at the 8 AM Saturday meeting. You must be present to win either the kids drawing or the preregistration drawing. Each entry fee entitles you to find one tiny chest for which clues are written. We look forward to welcoming you to our desert for our 46th Treasure Trails.

Friday 10th
4 PM to 10 PM        Registration at the Hut ~ Shirt Shop,
                                  Snack bar & Bar Open
6 PM to 10 PM    Great live music by Harry Joe and   Hojo Risin ~ Get your raffle tickets all weekend.

Saturday 11th
6 AM to 9 AM        Registration ~ Rolls & Coffee ~ SSB POA Serves Breakfast Burritos (to go) 2 for $5.00
7 AM to 10 PM        Bar, Snack Bar, Shirt Shop Open
7:30 AM                   Best Appearing vehicles judged
8 AM                        Orientation/Safety Meeting at the Hut ~ Drawings for $100 Preregistration and 18 or Under Registration 
9 AM                         START TIME 
2:30 PM to ?            David will be back... Serving BBQ at the Hut.  Reasonable prices for great food.
6 PM to 10 PM    Entertaining Music by Harry Joe Reynolds and his lively band.
7 PM-8.30PM            Trail Masters Extra Clues

Sunday 12th
7 AM to 3 PM            Bar, Snack Bar and Shirt Shop
9 AM                          Octotillo State Park Rangers Road Show @ the NW corner of the Hut
10:30 AM                 All Loot Contest items must be tagged and on the front of the stage for judging
11 AM                         Final time to turn in any chests to be awarded prizes
12 Noon                    Awards, Prizes and Presentations.  Be sure to have your hang tags and raffle tickets with you.
 

When you arrive... There will be NO RESERVED CAMP SPACES. Only the area designated for Treasure Trails Staff will be allowed to have reserved tape markers. All other tape reservation markers will be removed by members of the Treasure Trails Board. Please respect the 5 MPH Speed Limit in the camp! Thank you for your cooperation!
